Mapping ServiceNow role types to identify potential cost savings

By default, ServiceNow offers out-of-the-box (OOB) roles that are linked to subscriptions. Additionally, you can create a custom role for a subscription to grant access to approve requests or allowing a user to edit, create, or delete a record. Within the SaaS Management Users tab ( SaaS > Managed SaaS Applications > Users ) for ServiceNow Licensing and ServiceNow Licensing OAuth2, you can now map the ServiceNow Role Types to the number of OOB Roles and Custom Roles for each account user. Clicking a user’s Email in the Users tab opens a slideout to display the user’s assigned OOB Roles and Custom Roles . Users identified as being inactive or never active in using their custom roles may provide cost saving opportunities by having their custom roles disabled.
